A Japanese model 1899 type 32 military sword and scabbard. Blade 30.5 inches. Numbered 8759 to top of the blade. With steel handguard, backstrap and cross guard, knot and checkered wood handle/grip. Steel scabbard with matching number 87591 to the chape.
Reasonably good condition for age and use. Historic rust to hilt and scabbard with rust and dent to lower part.
